Taytay Zone- Philippines: Week 4, For the Cityyy

Elder Smith has left the Antipolo

We are now in Taytay Zone  Its been a couple weeks sorry.

SPORTCENTER BREAKDOWN:

New comp - Elder Oteng is my new trainee, he is from Ghana Africa. He's a G, absolute stud and I'm hyped to be able to work w/ him. Now we're the ying and yang

New bahay - Moved from our mansion to this not so nice house. First week we had to beat a rat to death with sticks cause he had been eating through our bags... No air conditioning or hot shower, so miss those things the most rn

New area - Taytay is pretty fun, its a part city area so there's a lot of people. Except we are in a kind of rich area so lots of subdivisions where its pretty discouraged to proselyte. But we've seen tons of miracles and have been able to find some very promising people Also they LOVE to feed missionaries. So we've been eating good.

Highlights:

• We had Zone Con with Antipolo (my last zone) so I got to see all the OGs, Elder See, it was fire. 

• We also had MLC, first time representing Taytay Zone. But it was chill, President dropped some bars.

• An RM and his fiancé came back and worked with us which was super weird but fun also. 

• Had balut w Elder Oteng

Lowlights:

• Got THE WORST and quickest haircut of my life here. Barber was looking at his phone just zooming through my hair and messed up. Took like an inch off the top then had to chop so much off to even it out. That day greatly tested my Christlike attributes. I'm still recovering...

• Our Rat kill count is 2, but we've seen more and they know how to get around the traps. 

Espiritual na isip:

7 Have ye any that are sick among you? Bring them hither. Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt, or maimed, or leprous, or that are withered, or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner? Bring them hither and I will heal them, for I have compassion upon you; my bowels are filled with mercy.

I have really loved this verse. Before Jesus Christ leaves, He offers to heal anyone that is sick. But he asks "Bring them hither", although theoretically He could heal them from anywhere, He wants them to act for themselves and draw close to Him before they can receive that blessing.

Myself, I've only noticed the healing power or His guidance in my life as I've intentionally drawn closer to Him. Only then can we receive His power into our lives.
